Mobile NG Flamingo the Flame-in-go
NG flamingo is an ultimate mobile glassmaking studio. The complete set includes a glass melting furnace with a replaceable crucible, a glory hole, and an annealer. It also comes with a workbench known as a marver and a pipe warmer – all in one compact and portable unit.
The studio is delivered fully ready for use, requiring no additional investment in accessories. It also comes with spare parts, such as a crucible, spare doors, and an electric preheating set.
NG flamingo features programmable controllers for both the melting and annealing sections, and it can be controlled online via a mobile app or PC. This multifunctional tool is ideal for glassmakers, schools, universities and other educational institutions. See our Program for educational institutions.
Operating NG Flamingo requires no prior specialized knowledge.
To ensure smooth operation, we provide a one-day workshop where users will learn how to operate and maintain the studio.
Key Ideas Why the legend was born
Energy efficiency:
As the successor to the renowned NG40, NG flamingo shares the same basic parameters – such as the crucible capacity (12 l, approximately 30 kg of glass) and the use of waste heat for heating the annealer, now recycling up to 70% of energy.
Modularity:
Its modular design allows for unprecedented ease of maintenance, even for less experienced users, and offers the potential for future upgrades. Instead of purchasing a new furnace, you can simply replace the electronic module, giving it long-term value. Transitioning from propane to natural gas is also relatively simple, without the need to replace the entire burner system.
Usability:
For glassmakers, NG flamingo can serve as a second furnace, for example, to melt colored glass or opal. It can run continuously – glass can be worked during the day and melted overnight for the next day.
Flexibility:
The key advantage of NG flamingo is its flexibility for hosting events, such as one-day workshops or public glassblowing demonstrations, thanks to its ability to heat up to operating temperature in approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the type of glass used.
Safety:
NG flamingo is also safe, making it ideal for school environments, and the 24/7 online monitoring is an added benefit. The studio complies with all EU CE safety standards for both gas and electricity, ensuring top-level security in any setting.
Easy setup:
Operating NG flamingo requires only a standard 230V socket and approximately 25 kg of propane for 24 hours, with consumption depending on the type of glass and the frequency of furnace door openings.

NG flamingo is manufactured at our parent glassworks, Niesenglass Switzerland GmbH. We use only parts from reliable European sources and manufacturers. Our goal is to deliver products of the highest quality.
